quCS – a non-commercial CS 1.6 client with a unique, advanced interface
This is a professional non-commercial game client for CS 1.6, created by dedicated fan deviz based on the NextClient build in close collaboration with Next21 Team. Deviz also develops the international free monitoring platform varq.net, and integration with it has made the game client as functional and advanced as possible.
Here, no one will force you to play on paid servers from boosts. We do not distribute non-licensed games for profit. quCS is an exclusively creative engineering project based on the community of the open-source NextClient project. Thousands of servers in the search, maximum data, detailed statistics for servers and players – this is what makes this client unique and ultimate.
Download the non-commercial game client quCS for Windows 10/11. Next, you will be offered a choice of language and download links for the client.
All rights to CS 1.6 belong to Valve (in case you forgot). Buy the official CS 1.6 game on Steam, even if you only plan to play non-licensed clients of this game. The website developers respect copyrights and by no means encourage playing pirated games.
Game build for your server community
HOW IT WORKS
The standard server search in the game is no longer relevant. It is an outdated window with a primitive, uninformative table. The second serious drawback of the search: there are usually not many servers in the list, only a small percentage of the total number of existing CS 1.6 servers in the world.
Deviz and Next21 Team solved the problem brilliantly: a browser with server monitoring was built directly into the game's start screen. Yes, this is the very same browser that displays the "MOTD" window when you connect to a server. All these years, the browser did basic dirty work, waiting for its moment to finally start displaying a useful, user-friendly interface.
All varq.net monitoring features are now available right inside the game: interactive search and server statistics, player search and history, and much more. quCS is a contributor-driven project. If you wish, you can integrate your own web service into the start screen of the open-source NextClient (please contact Next21 Team with this request).

For those who love it when information is presented in the spirit of a washing powder commercial:
| Commercial game client | quCS (NextClient + varq.net) |
|---|---|
| Limited server search (100–300 promoted servers); the player is forced to play only on promoted servers. | Global search across the free varq.net master server (3300+ servers), interactive search, and statistics. |
| Advertising servers in the gamemenu/favorites | No advertising in the gamemenu or favorites |
| The game client is distributed and managed by the boosting service owner for commercial purposes | The game client was made for the convenience of players and gaming communities with no intention of profiting from the players |
| It is impossible to change the masterserver, advertising servers cannot be removed | Ability to customize the start screen for any gaming community |
| New servers will appear in the search only if their administrators have money for advertising | Organic server update cycle, multiple sources for new servers, including Steam API |
Server widget
You can embed a widget for one or more servers into the left side of the game home screen. This can be useful for both server administrators and regular players: the widget will display up-to-date information about the server and show a server activity chart detailing which maps were played and who was online in recent hours.
Your logo
You can set your own image for the game's start screen. We made a demonstration so you can see how it works. To upload your own image, install the game.
